Cisco IP phones are the best of the best in IP phones but the most common issue with cisco IP phones is that after time when lifting the phone handset the phone does not register that the handset is ‘off-hook’. This is what users typically do when getting ready to dial a number. Without the hook switch registering the handset going ‘off-hook’ the phone is not ready to dial and it can confuse the user. This is the fix to the issue. The issue is not the phone itself but the switch in the phone base. The switch over time gets loose and it does not register when the handset is lifted from the phone’s base.
